Screen print on isoli textile, thread, cord with 2 metal ends, 450 x 250 cm

Upscaled black hoodie with logo of a clothes hanger upside down, and twisted in the shape of a uterus. Bent clothes hangers have been used to perform unsafe, illegal abortions by passing the thread through the cervix and into the uterus. Steel wire hangers are a symbol of the danger of criminalizing abortion. I upscaled the hoodie from a popular Norwegian clothing brand best known for its hoodie with a clothes hanger logo (Holzweiler). The materials are carefully selected to match the original design of the sweatshirt, and the logo is done in screen print. Dimensions variable.
