Over several years, I have collected random car names – those of ordinary, functional family cars, nothing sleek or aspirational.

Car Pool I & II uses these names to reflect on the everyday reality of parents driving children from one after-school activity to the next:

music lessons, sports training, weekend competitions. The work highlights the logistics and invisible labour of coordinating lifts through

WhatsApp, messenger and Spond groups, and is a comment on the constant movement that shapes contemporary family life.
