“Balancing Act” brings together everyday domestic imagery and symbols of luxury to explore the tension between routine and aspiration. The screenprinted Mutti pomodoro cans introduce the world of home life and daily labour, while the suspended Louboutin heels represent desire, glamour, and external expectations.

Held together by a shopping net, strap, and string, the objects sit in a fragile equilibrium. This balance hints at the careful negotiations between what is expected of us and what we want for ourselves.

Through its mix of humble and high-end references, the work reflects on the effort it takes to stay composed while juggling different roles, pressures, and desires.
