Katharina Bjelland’s artistic method is grounded in working with found materials, text, print and sculpture, finding her inspiration in everyday objects and situations. In her practice, Bjelland explores consumerism and role allocations within middle-class households and society using humour, irony, and self-reflection. At the core of Bjelland's practice is an investigation into the daily struggle of balancing work, domestic labour and leisure, with the underlying pressure of trying to optimize our output across all categories on all levels at all times.
